SOTW: TagScanner

I’ve got a pretty hefty amount of music these days. And I am happy to admit that for quite a while I was getting this music through good old P2P programs. Now that those glorious days of no fear downloading are over I’m left with a massive library of music that is very poorly organized.

It seems that every music playing program out there wants to mess around with your files. They want to re-name them, re-organize them and re-distribute them all over the place. It’s frustrating and annoying.

So I wanted to find a program that would A) re-name all of my music logically and B) help me find all those missing bits of information I so desperately needed to complete my life.

So I found a program that does a great job re-naming…but the filling in of missing information is a bit lacking. Well, it might be at least. You see this program is a touch annoying and it’s Russian. So it’s got that going for it.

In all seriousness this has been a great free program for music file management. And once I get the full grasp of its music finding capabilities I’m sure I’ll be even happier.

COTW: 2007 Lotus Exige

Lotus Exige

Weight: 2077 lbs
Length: 149.5 in
Width: 68 in
Height: 45.6 in
Horsepower: 220 hp @ 8000 RPM
Torque: 165 lb-ft @ 5500 RPM
0-60 MPH: 5.0 sec (2006 with 190 hp)
Skid Pad: 0.97 g

Is there any reason NOT to love this car? It’s got performance that dips into Ariel Atom territory (at several thousand more dollars sadly) but all weather comfort (if you can call it comfortable).

Lotus has been making beautiful performance machines for years. The Esprit has always been a favorite of mine. But the first time I saw the I saw the Elise I was absolutely floored. It had the looks and the performance to back it up. Originally powered by a simple British 4 cylinder it progressed to a very technically advanced Toyota 4 cylinder powerplant for the US.

Although I’ve never driven one I’ve heard about it’s unreal track abilities…few “street” cars out there can touch it (especially at the price). But there is a drawback…it’s (supposedly) a very rough ride, not very comfortable and a total pain in the ass to get in and out of.

Screw all that! I challenge you to find a better weekend fun track car that could still carry the groceries home…well…as long as you don’t have a passenger.

BOTW: Brittany Murphy

I saw her in 8 Mile. I saw her in Sin City. I probably saw her in some other things. She is that white trash hottie that you know would be fantastic in bed. She nearly always has that “I’ve been with bad men that hurt me, but I’ve got a good heart” expression on her face. Plus she’s got a SMOKIN body. And something tells me she’d be cool to hang out with too. Yeehaw!
